Who is the Founder of Hip Hop Tots®?
Hip Hop Tots® was founded by Paula Sampson-Lawrence, who was a dancer and dance teacher for over 15 years. Paula has a wealth of dance and choreography experience having worked with dancers of all ages and abilities and teaching both nationally and internationally.
How Did the Idea for Hip Hop Tots® Come about?
After becoming a mum and wanting to spend as much time as possible with her children while they were little, Paula wondered if there was a way to bring them to work with her. From this, the idea for Hip Hop Tots® was born. Using her wealth of choreography experience, Paula came up with carefully crafted routines perfect for toddlers and preschoolers, along with reworking classic nursery rhymes and adding a hip hop twist! It was a match made in heaven and by 2015, classes were set up and running.
How has the business changed?
The business grew and offered licenses to other teachers to use the Hip Hop Tots brand as part of their own businesses. We now have licencees across the country and internationally from Ireland to Bosnia!
What’s next?
Hip Hop Tots® aims to bring classes to more parts of the country and enter the children’s party market.
